It’s always a happy day when I share a home designed by my friend Patty Anderson from Waterview Kitchens. Here, she shares more details about this inspiring white modern farmhouse/beach house:

“As owners of the most popular Stand Up paddle boutiques in South Florida, the couple sought to create an open flowing home with space that expressed their love of the water and the casual lifestyle they pursue. They wanted to create the feeling of openness encountered when at the beach/ocean and bring this feeling into the interior of their home. The home, once a Florida ranch was transformed into a two story family dream home.”

The black front door and Bahama-style shutters are painted in Benjamin Moore Black Knight.

Kitchen

Upon entering the home the presence of the Denim Blue island strikes immediately. It is the focal point of the room, reflects their love of water and affords a fabulous spot for the family to gather. The white cabinetry beyond brings in a sunshiny feel and the wood floors impart tones of the sandy beaches and driftwood the family frequently explores. The water reflecting off the pool and canal beyond dance across the Denim Blue island and highlight the Frosty White cabinetry.

Crystal Cabinets Denim – “Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue”.

Beach Vibes

A surfboard graces the wall showing the love of surf enjoyed in this home.

Sink: Kohler Prolific sink.

Faucet: Moen.

Kitchen Cabinet

Kitchen Cabinetry: Crystal Cabinet Works, Inset Cabinets in Frosty White, similar to “Benjamin Moore White Dove”.

Backsplash: Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo.

Countertop

Countertops are also Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo with 3″ mitered edge on island.

Hardwood Flooring

The hardwood flooring is DuChateau, St. Moritz – similar here & here.

Home-Sweet-Home

The table end on the island was a very important aspect to the island’s design. The owners wanted a place for their children to do homework, artwork and just be near mom and dad. Blue, the family’s golden retriever, named for their shop, Blueline Paddle, loves the space as his own little den. The intentional simplicity of the square legs and the 6” custom V-groove panel end reflect the simplicity of their lifestyle. The electric outlets for the island ends are nestled onto the interior sides of the legs, making electronic charging a breeze.

Layout

The main floor of this home feels open and connected. Notice the beautiful staircase with metal railings and the shiplap accent wall.

Paint Color

Interior paint color is Benjamin Moore Super White.

Dining Chairs: Wayfair.

Master Bathroom

The master bathroom features a curbless shower with a glass door that leads to a private courtyard.

Floor Tile: Marble hexagon tile.

Bathroom also features a custom vanity by Crystal Cabinet Works in a Black Matte Finish. Countertop is Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo.

The home, once a single story residence, is now a dream come true. The owners have the family kitchen of their dreams with a space they relax and fully live in.
